Commissioner Sargodha Division Orders Audit and Survey of Private Housing Societies

SARGODHA: The Commissioner of Sargodha Division, Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti, has instructed the administration to conduct a thorough audit and survey of private housing societies in all four districts of the division.

The move comes in response to concerns over the misuse of state land in the area.

In a recent review meeting, Commissioner Bhatti directed revenue officers to take strict action against housing societies encroaching on government ponds, reservoirs, and corridors.

He also called for heavy fines to be imposed on illegal cultivators of state land, and emphasized the importance of following up on cases pending adjudication in different courts.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners presented briefings on using government agricultural and residential areas for commercial industry and other welfare purposes.

They also provided details on the auction, lease, and revenue collection from petrol pumps, CNG stations, hotels, shops, plazas, and markets located on government land in their respective districts.

Commissioner Bhatti stressed the need for transparency and accountability in collecting dues and auctioning government-owned properties.

He urged the administration to take prompt action against violations and ensure all relevant regulations are followed.

The audit and survey of private housing societies in the Sargodha Division are expected to provide valuable insights into the extent of encroachment on state land and help authorities take appropriate measures to address the issue.
