RAWALPINDI: The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, Liaqat Ali Chatha, visited the headquarters of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Monday.
He was welcomed by the RDA Director General, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, and other senior officials.
The commissioner instructed that the city’s Master Plan should be prepared quickly and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the RDA and the district administration.
He also encouraged RDA officers to work with integrity and serve the public.
The DG RDA gave a detailed briefing to the commissioner about the ongoing reforms and development projects, including the Rawalpindi Ring Road, Nullah Lai Expressway, and others.
The Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) also provided a briefing on the agency’s performance, and the commissioner directed WASA to increase revenue and water tariffs.
He emphasized the need for bold steps to achieve sustainability and stability.
