Cost of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway Expected to Escalate

ISLAMABAD: The cost for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) has raised due to rising prices of diesel and such commodities.

A meeting was held to discuss the issues regarding the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway, and toll tax stations under the National Highway Authority (NHA).

According to the details, the Senate Standing Committee on Communications has been notified about the rising costs of the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway project by the NHA.

It was observed during the meeting that out of 4 toll plazas in Balochistan, only two were seen in the NHA’s record.

The committee has instructed NHA to ensure the registration of all the toll plazas.

The project was awarded to the National Highway Authority against a bid and is being constructed on Public Private Partnership.

According to the NHA, the project will be completed within 3 years.
