Court Indicts Alleged Defaulter for Disowning Mortgaged House After Taking Loan

LAHORE: A banking court has charged an alleged defaulter for renouncing a mortgaged house after obtaining a loan from a bank.

According to sources, the court has also requested the record from the DHA (Defence Housing Authority) regarding the property that was mortgaged for the loan.

The details suggest that the request for the auction of the property was heard by Banking Court Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti.

According to the bank’s claims, Qasim ur Rehman took out a loan from the bank against documents of a 2-kanal house located in DHA.

The bank further revealed that a decree of Rs. 66.9 million has been issued against the defaulter for failing to pay the loan.

Furthermore, the banking judge charged the alleged loan defaulter and issued the judgment with instructions for all the involved parties.
