DIR: According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zubair Khan Niazi, the district’s current development initiatives will soon be finished since the government is dedicated to giving the local population relief.
He was briefing media persons in his office about the ongoing projects and anti-encroachment drive in the district.
Furthermore, the DC said that the ongoing projects, including one each public park in Chakdara, Asbanr, and Timergara, Chakdara sports ground, maintenance and repair of Timergara Jail-Timer Chowk road, pavement of Timergara model streets and Shaheed Chowk flyover, would be completed soon.
Besides, he also stated that the administration has demolished unlawful constructions by court orders regarding the current anti-encroachment campaign in several portions of the district.
Niazi also announced that a program to clear encroachments from the Panjkora River bank was underway.
According to the DC, the government has so far demolished 257 stores, 2 plazas, 1 hotel, and several kiosks erected on water channels, adding that the government’s beautification initiatives were moving forward quickly.
