ATTOCK: The Deputy Commissioner of Attock, Rao Atif Raza, announced at a press conference that the district administration was taking all possible measures for the welfare of the public.
He stated that the administration was taking action to stabilize poultry prices and cracking down on illegal housing societies and robbers.
Raza also briefed that 26 price magistrates were currently working in the district to control self-inflation and 16,000 inspections in February, collecting about 1.6 million rupees in fines while arresting 198 people.
Furthermore, the DC added that the referral system would be minimized by eliminating the problems of THQ Hospital, Hazro, and the post of chief officer in TMA, Hazro would soon be filled.
In addition, the DC announced that he would go to every tehsil and hold an open court to solve people’s problems at their doorstep.
He mentioned that there were currently 11,403 teaching staff posts in government schools across the district, out of which 2,866 posts were vacant and recruitment would begin after the election.
The district administration is taking steps to increase the beauty of Attock by planting more trees to combat climate change and issuing instructions to the relevant institutions in this regard, he stated.
Regarding health-related issues, the DC said that the district administration was trying hard to provide the best medical facilities in Isfandyar Bukhari District Hospital, adding that new blocks were being constructed, and HQs were visiting hospitals and health centers to address the lack of facilities there on an emergency basis.
The sources confirmed that a state-of-the-art mother and child care hospital was also going to be completed in Attock for 5 billion rupees, where all medical facilities for mothers and children would be available.
Besides, the DC assured that the cleaning of the drain on Gondal Road would be ensured, and a special cleaning campaign had been launched across the district in which all government, semi-government, and private organizations were participating.
