RAWALPINDI: The Divisional Commissioner (DC) of Rawalpindi, Liaquat Ali Chattha, has announced that an audit of building plans for 166 structures in Murree has commenced.
The audit will cover both commercial and residential buildings, and any violation of building codes will result in the cancellation of architectural designs.
The main objective of this drive is to ensure the safety and security of residents and tourists in the area.
DC Chattha has directed the local government to focus on cleanliness drives in the city and to monitor cleaning staff to ensure an ideal cleanliness system for tourists.
He stated that the provincial government is working to improve roads and water facilities in the area to provide a tourist-friendly environment for locals and visitors.
The DC also encouraged hotels and restaurants to adopt hygienic conditions on their premises and offer quality food to customers.
It is important to note that Murree is one of the most popular hill stations in the country, and tourists flock to the area all year round.
Recently, it was announced as a separate district with its own local administration responsible for managing local businesses and regulating building plans, separating it from the Rawalpindi division.
The move is expected to improve governance and development in the area.
Can’t do anything about the newly constructed tons and tons of building all around the mountains which incase of an earthquake gives shivers even thinking. They’re been made and they’ll stay.
Why cry over spilt milk!
The lives of people of Murree and Tourists is at stake 24/7
