Dengue Scare: RDA Holds Meeting with Housing Societies

RAWALPINDI: The Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) held a meeting pertaining to the anti-dengue campaign with representatives of 5 housing schemes.

The officials of Bahria town, Faisal town, Top City, University town, and Mumtaz City were urged to take special measures for anti-dengue activities.

According to sources, the Assistant Director of Building Control provided a detailed briefing on anti-dengue activities.

The DG also proposed Mehwish Naseem, Assistant Director of Planning, as the focal person for the five housing societies.

Furthermore, the DG  directed the administration of housing schemes to hire entomologists while urging citizens to exercise extreme caution and to make every effort to maintain cleanliness.

He also advised residents to use mosquito repellent spray, adding that the water drainage system should be checked on a regular basis so that any stagnant water can be removed.
