KARACHI: In a recent meeting at Malir Development Authority (MDA) office, Director General Abdul Rasheed Solangi directed all officers to ensure easy public access while resolving their issues, expedite pending matters, and maintain punctuality.
The meeting was attended by directors of finance, land, estate, planning and engineering, and administration along with in-charges of schemes like Taisar Town, New Malir Hoisting Scheme, and Shah Lateef Town.
Solangi directed concerned officers to immediately remove encroachments from MDA lands, contact the deputy commissioner and anti-encroachment director, and submit weekly reports to him.
He also suggested establishing new low-cost housing schemes for the poorest of Sindh and a state-of-the-art industrial zone.
Additionally, he directed officials to establish a new scheme for women artisans, which would ensure their economic empowerment.
The MDA DG emphasized the need to strengthen the authority while serving the people of the province efficiently.
He also urged officials to accelerate the recovery process and ensure infrastructure facilities in all housing schemes.
