DG RDA Suspends 5 Officials for Negligence

RAWALPINDI: Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority, Saif Anwar Jappa, has suspended five officers of One Window Operation Center for irresponsible attitude.

According to the details, the DG paid a visit to the one window operation center and Land Use and Building Control Directorate and found five officials, including the assistant director, absent from their duties.

The officials who have been suspended include Building Superintendent Arsalan Shaukat, two Building Inspectors Fahad Bhatti and Mohammad, Junior Clerk Habib ur Rahman, and Assistant Director (Supervisor) Mohammad Akram Nadeem.

According to the RDA spokesperson, these officials have shown carelessness and negligence; as a result, they have been suspended from their roles.

He added that the chairman had also ordered all the staff members to ensure punctuality and attendance.

The DG went on to say that the officials must work with dedication and the tasks should not face inordinate delays if there are no obstacles.

Additionally, he also directed the concerned departments to take strict action against illegal constructions across the city.

He suggested that work hours should be increased to address the issues faced by the general public.
