DHA Karachi Clarifies ‘Solar Panel Tale’ Doing Rounds on Internet

KARACHI: DHA Karachi has issued a clarification regarding violations of its building control regulations that stormed the internet earlier this week.

According to sources, DHA claimed that there was negative propaganda circulating in print and social media regarding a DHA fine imposed on residents for installing solar panels on their residential properties.

The authority clarified that to date there were no fees or charges for obtaining permission to install solar panels on a residential property. However, DHA is responsible for reviewing the safe installation plan, the quality of equipment used, and the impact on the neighborhood.
