The Punjab government is digitizing urban land records in order to provide the public with transparent and secure services.
Shehla Noreen, a land record officer claimed this in a conversation with APP on Tuesday.
She claimed that the Sargodha land record center is operating at full capacity and that the district’s rural land records have already been digitalized.
The government is also complying with digital geographic maps that will be connected to urban and rural land records.
The computerization of urban land records will improve the collection of property taxes and other levies, she added.
