LAHORE: On Thursday, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Aamir Ahmed Khan paid a surprise visit to the one-window cell.
The DG, upon the visit, vented his resentment at the way LDA employees were treating the public.
He held an open court (khuli kutchehry) where he heard grievances of citizens and reprimanded the officers for their carelessness.
“I am giving the officers a final warning and no carelessness would be tolerated in the future,” he added.
According to him, it is important to address citizen complaints on an immediate basis while the applications should be processed automatically at the one window cell.
Aamir Ahmed Khan also suggested that all directors should listen to citizen complaints once a week and oversee the complaint resolution themselves.
He advised the officers to try to lessen the time required to process applications and stressed upon the importance of treating citizens politely.
