DUBAI: Dubai Land Department (DLD) and its subsidiary Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) have recently introduced a new smart service named Madmoun, aimed at identifying fraudulent real estate advertisements.
By scanning a QR code, individuals can now confirm the authenticity of real estate ads, and access all relevant information, including the terms and conditions of the property, on the DLD’s website.
As of April 24th, all real estate companies are required to include QR codes in their print and audio-visual advertisements and to obtain a QR code for each real estate ad permit via DLD’s Trakheesi system.
Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA at DLD, stated that Madmoun aligns with the organization’s goal of utilizing technology to make Dubai a leading global real estate investment hub.
This new service also supports the development of real estate products and is in line with Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33,’ which aims to drive economic growth through digital transformation and solidify Dubai’s status as a center for the digital economy.
