ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan building, Judges’ Residences, Rest Houses, and Sub-Offices in various cities will get Rs. 844.389 million in repairs and upkeep after the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet approves these funds.
According to sources, the ministry of housing and works has asked ECC for additional funds totaling Rs. 844.389 million in Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG).
These funds would be utilized for judges’ residences, rest houses, and sub-offices in different cities for repair and maintenance to clear matured liabilities and complete urgent repair and maintenance work.
Besides, the finance division approved the requests and recommended the ministry initiate a summary for the ECC of the cabinet in accordance.
The sources informed that ECC was also in favor of the Ministry of Housing and Works for the upkeep and repair of the Supreme Court of Pakistan building, Judges’ Residences, Rest Houses, and Sub-Offices in various cities.
Furthermore, the ECC also took into account and approved 2 summaries from the Ministry of Interior regarding the distribution of Rs. 10 million to the legal heirs of those who perished in the most recent suicide bombing at I-10 Markaz in Islamabad and Rs. 20 million to those who perished in the most recent political party long march.
