EU Delegation Visits Gwadar to Oversee Port Construction

GWADAR: A high-level team from the European Union visited Gwadar and appreciated the planned Port Area development plan.

As per the details, Mujibur Rahman Qambrani, Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority, briefed the team upon their arrival in Gwadar.

Gwadar has always been the focus of world economies because of its inherent geographical location, according to the Director General of GDA.

Qambrani added that the deep water port’s construction, which is the shortest shipping route in the area, has increased the significance of Gwadar.

He noted that the Smart Port City’s Master Plan has been created in light of the global importance and status and that the city is currently developing and building in accordance with international standards.

He also briefed the delegation that various projects related to health, water, electricity, education, tourism, and sports, including the Central Business District, Gwadar Free Zone, and International Airport spanning over 2,500 acres of land, are currently under construction as part of the master plan.

The delegation commended the welcoming atmosphere and economic potential in Gwadar in offering technical assistance in a number of fields, including fishing.

Hervc Juvin, Member Committee for International Trade, led the delegation, which also included Virginie Joran, Member Committee for International Market, and others.
