The move comes as part of their reform agenda to facilitate citizens and ensure timely relief for applicants.

A meeting presided over by FDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, took place on Wednesday to review the implementation of the digital technology.

During the meeting, Operations Director Qaseem Alvi presented the digital application process, highlighting its potential to revolutionize departmental procedures and efficiently monitor application statuses.

The primary focus of the digital system is to issue town planning reports and ownership clearance certificates on the same day of application submission.

This move aims to eliminate the need for applicants to make repeated visits to the FDA office, saving them time and effort.

In his directives to the officers, the DG emphasized the need to develop a robust system to ensure timely relief for applicants.

He also encouraged the use of SMS notifications to keep applicants informed about the status of their applications, providing them with real-time updates.

Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of maintaining merit and transparency in official affairs.

He also urged all concerned parties to avoid unjustified delays in resolving public matters, underscoring the FDA’s commitment to fair and efficient service delivery.
