FAISALABAD: In a significant move against illegal encroachments, the district administration’s anti-encroachment squad conducted a major operation in the bustling Karkhana Bazaar, along with eight other markets in the vicinity of the Clock Tower Chowk, on Wednesday.
The operation resulted in the removal of all forms of unauthorized setups. Goods that shopkeepers had displayed on the footpaths in front of their shops were confiscated by the squad.
Additionally, vehicles and motorcycles that were improperly parked were seized and handed over to the traffic police.
Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamar personally oversaw the operation, ensuring its successful execution.
The operation also extended to the Factory area, where illegal constructions were demolished by the squad.
This operation marks a significant step in the district administration’s ongoing efforts to maintain order and legality in the city’s commercial areas.
