FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has received orders from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Annan Qamar to undertake necessary measures to enhance the beauty and attract more visitors to the city’s roads, overhead bridges, and underpasses.
After assessing ongoing construction projects, the DC authorized the FDA executives to prepare a comprehensive plan for the restoration, beautification, and attraction of early roads, overhead bridge, and underpass infrastructure.
The DC further emphasized the importance of repairing the Nishatabad Overhead Bridge and instructed the FDA to prioritize creating lovely landscaping surrounding the bridge.
During the meeting, the Director General of the FDA briefed the DC on its administrative structure, functions, performance, and recent initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.
The FDA currently oversees 17 commercial marketplaces, 18 residential colonies, and FDA City, a large housing development with seven orchards planted according to a specific theme, in addition to the creation of public parks.
