FDA Constructs Boundary Wall to Protect Residents of FDA City

LAHORE: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has begun constructing a boundary wall to safeguard residents of FDA City.

As per the details, the wall would be constructed for Rs. 7 million with the purpose to protect the residents from sewage and industrial wastewater that emanates from nearby industrial units.

The move came on the direction of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, which has also asked the environment protection department and municipal corporation to take action against delinquent industrial units.

He also ordered to investigate the units disposing of industrial waste in Samana village and dumping sewage into the watercourse.

The FDA Director General said that these measures aimed to provide residents with respite from the perils of environmental pollution.
