LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has issued a notice summoning former chief minister Usman Buzdar for building a house on the state’s property in Fort Munro.
The property is said to be worth billions and was allegedly taken over by the former chief minister.
As per the ACE, Buzdar House was constructed on 2 Kanals of the total property, and he also misused his powers to grab 2 Kanals of commercial property.
ACE summoned Buzdar and officers from the finance department on March 30.
This is not the first time that Usman Buzdar has been in trouble with authorities. Earlier, he failed to appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the third time in the assets beyond income case.
Buzdar had submitted his reply to NAB through his counsel after being directed to provide complete records of postings and transfers he had approved during his tenure as Punjab’s chief minister.
