LAHORE: Punjab’s anti-corruption department has called upon former MPA Malik Muzaffar Awan for questioning today regarding his involvement in the construction of the unauthorized Green Town housing scheme.
Awan is alleged to have exploited his political influence to develop the housing project without acquiring the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) from any governmental authority.
Furthermore, he neglected to pay the required government fees before initiating the development of the housing society.
Additionally, Awan has utilized government-owned plots, including Plot No 34 where he established a PTI office, and Plot No 33-32 where a petrol pump has been constructed.
