NAROWAL: The federal government has initiated the construction of a central highway project in Shakargarh tehsil, located in the Narowal district.
The foundation stone for the project, which spans several villages, has been recently laid, demonstrating the government’s commitment to improving the area’s transportation network.
Furthermore, the central highway from ‘Jassar Garrison to Sialkot Cantt,’ aims to enhance mobility and reduce travel time for local residents.
The sources estimate the project’s cost to be around 70 billion rupees, indicating a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure.
Moreover, covering a distance of 70 kilometers, the construction of the highway is projected to be completed within three years.
Besides, the residents have expressed satisfaction with the project, expecting it to create new business opportunities and contribute to overall development in the area.
