ISLAMABAD: The President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, has declared the completion of development work in Sector G-9 Markaz as a top priority.
During a swearing-in ceremony for newly elected officials of the G-9 Markaz Traders Welfare Association, Bakhtawari stated that he will take up the issue with the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
He has already brought up tax-related issues with the CDA and the Federal Board of Revenue to resolve them promptly.
Bakhtawari reported that he recently met with CDA representatives to discuss road rehabilitation, parking plaza construction, footpath repairs, filtration plant installation, and streetlight restoration.
The land for the parking plaza has been identified and work is expected to start soon. G-9 market is one of the largest markets in the city, following the Blue Area.
Recently, the CDA announced a comprehensive zoning plan for the city, regularizing land use and designating specific residential and commercial areas.
