ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Law and Justice, Senator Shahadat Awan, has stated that CDA is taking action against every unlawful housing society being established within its authority in accordance with by-laws and the Constitution.
During the question hour in Senate, he stated that there were 117 illegal housing societies being established in the domain of Capital Territory that had been served with notices and that investigation is underway against them.
While answering a question related to overselling of land, he continued by saying that the civic organization had launched an aggressive media campaign against such developers who were allegedly engaged in these acts.
He said that CDA was only approving the layout design and issuing the no-objection certificate under specific terms and circumstances in-line with the by-laws.
The city authorities have declared the developers null and void if they had not met the requirements, he added.
