ISLAMABAD: The ongoing construction work on 10th Avenue is expected to be completed by the end of next year, with Rs. 1,480 million set aside for the project during the previous fiscal year.
According to sources at Interior Ministry, M/s NLC has been awarded the Phase-1 contract worth Rs. 10.286 billion.
As per details, the construction work began in March 2022 and will take 21 months to complete in the fourth quarter of 2023.
It is to note here that the total length of 10th Avenue is 8.2 kilometers, however, only Phase-I includes a 5 Km road from IJP Road to the Srinagar Highway.
During the fiscal year 2021-22, an amount of Rs. 1,473.96 million was incurred on various lines from the total released funds of Rs1,480 million.
