KARACHI: Karachi Administrator, Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman, announced that approximately 100,000 square feet of road carpeting had been completed from Chase Up Store near Nipa to Sindbad Amusement Park in District East Gulshan Iqbal Zone.
This development aims to enhance Karachi’s road infrastructure and improve citizens’ transportation convenience.
During an inspection of the road construction near Nipa in Gulshan Iqbal Block 10, Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman expressed satisfaction with the progress and provided instructions to the officers involved.
The road had been in a deteriorated state for a long time, causing difficulties for traffic due to potholes.
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) took the initiative to level and carpet the road, utilizing heavy machinery and manpower.
Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman emphasized that the KMC is prioritizing the improvement of roads in areas with high traffic volume to alleviate commuters’ difficulties.
He issued special instructions to the KMC Technical Services Department to expedite road construction, repair, and maintenance, ensuring the timely completion of the projects included in the annual development plan.
