KARACHI: Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the esteemed Mayor of Karachi, has officially inaugurated the highly anticipated dinosaur park located at Safari Park.
The event marks the city’s venture into a cutting-edge dinosaur park, enhancing Karachi’s cultural and educational offerings.
Spanning a vast expanse, the newly unveiled dinosaur park showcases a fusion of modern innovation and educational entertainment, commonly referred to as “edutainment.”
Murtaza Wahab expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the park’s role as an educational hub that provides valuable insights into the prehistoric era.
The park’s main draw is its collection of lifelike-animated dinosaur exhibits, delivering an immersive experience suitable for all age groups.
With eleven meticulously crafted dinosaur replicas, visitors are transported back in time, while a prominent dinosaur structure fosters excitement and learning for both children and adults alike.
The Sindh government contributed Rs. 100 million, and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) spearheaded the park’s development.
Wahab also provided a glimpse of upcoming features, revealing plans for an operational zip line project shortly.
However, amidst the excitement, recent incidents involving the theft of park infrastructure have raised concerns.
Mayor Wahab voiced his dismay over the audacious theft of grills and fences by professional thieves.
Besides, he also emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance and the implementation of robust security measures to address this issue effectively.
