KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) recently conducted an operation in Surjani Town to reclaim its land from illegal occupation.
According to details, the operation targeted encroachments in Sector 8B and the Sector 8 Industrial Area, resulting in the demolition of boundary walls, houses, and several under-construction buildings.
To carry out the operation, the KDA’s Estate and Enforcement Department mobilized heavy machinery and manpower to demolish the illegal constructions.
The operation was under the supervision of the Director of Estate and Enforcement, Shakeel Siddiqui.
In addition, Director General Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Additional Director Jameel Baloch, Project Director Engineer Surjani Town Shahzad Ahmed, Assistant Director Rahmat Shah, representatives from law enforcement agencies, local administration, and other officers were also present during the operation.
It is worth noting that the KDA has been actively conducting anti-encroachment operations in various areas of the city throughout the year.
The Director General stated that the operation against the illegal occupation of KDA land would continue as per court orders until all encroachments were eliminated.
He emphasized that no leniency would be shown towards those occupying government land illegally, and strict disciplinary action would be taken against any officers or employees involved in such activities.
