KP Govt Pledges Support for Tourism Promotion and Investment

PESHAWAR: A significant high-level meeting took place at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT) on Monday, focusing on initiatives to promote the tourism sector and attract both domestic and foreign investors for its rapid development.

The meeting was jointly chaired by Muhammad Adnan Jalil, the Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, and Zafar Mehmood, the Advisor to the caretaker Chief Minister on Tourism and Culture.

During the meeting, the provincial minister and the advisor to the chief minister were provided with a comprehensive overview of investment possibilities, measures, and goals in the province’s tourism sector.

They were briefed in detail about the projects related to Integrated Tourism Zones, taking into consideration the province’s historical and strategic locations.

Furthermore, they were also informed about the potential for economic development through tourism.

In addition, the meeting highlighted the division of various areas into cluster zones and integrated development zones, inviting investment from different firms for the tourist destinations in the province.

Additionally, the minister expressed his commitment to providing necessary support and facilities during the promotion of tourism, on behalf of the industry department.

Emphasizing the natural beauty and numerous tourist spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the minister stated that their promotion could act as a catalyst in stabilizing the province’s economy.

He further acknowledged the vital role played by the tourism sector in the province’s economy, as well as the significance of domestic and international investors in its rapid growth.

Besides, Jalil highlighted the abundance of natural beauty in the province and underscored the importance of laws and policies aimed at attracting investors for tourism development.

The attendees vowed to advance the tourism sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by capitalizing on its natural resources and implementing investor-friendly policies for sustainable growth.
