PESHAWAR: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, revealed that the government has committed to providing a substantial allocation of 20 billion rupees for the development of tribal districts.
The decision was made during a meeting of the steering committee on tribal districts’ development, which the Prime Minister chaired.
Governor Haji Ghulam Ali expressed the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the tribal districts and ensuring their overall progress.
The allocated funds will be utilized to undertake various development projects to improve the region’s socio-economic conditions and enhance the quality of life for its residents.
In response to a query, the Governor emphasized that a thorough investigation is underway regarding the incidents that occurred on the 9th and 10th of May.
He assured that all individuals involved in those unfortunate events would be brought to justice, demonstrating the government’s resolve to maintain law and order and uphold the principles of justice and accountability.
Prior to the announcement, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali participated in a ceremony where he presented the keys of eleven buses to the heads of public sector colleges in Peshawar.
These buses were generously provided by the Japanese government to the transport department to facilitate safe and reliable transportation for students and staff.
The initiative undertaken by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the support extended by the Japanese government reflects a concerted effort to uplift the educational infrastructure and promote educational opportunities in the region.
