LAHORE: The Lahore Metropolitan Corporation, following a complaint from commissioner Lahore, retrieved a piece of Orange Line land worth millions of rupees from land grabbers.
The team arrived on Multan Road and began the operation to reclaim the five-Kanal land occupied by land grabbers through the parking of vehicles and other materials.
Furthermore, the team handed over the land worth over Rs. 150 million to the PHA authorities for plantation after successful retrieval.
Earlier, the Senior Minister, Mian Aslam Iqbal, also vowed that the city’s entrance and exits would be cleared of encroachments, and gave instructions to plant saplings and trees in green belts, roadways, and housing societies.
