LAHORE: The Provincial Minister, Mian Aslam Iqbal, presided over a meeting on Thursday during which various initiatives were reviewed to make the provincial capital a lush green city.
The minister stated that the city’s entrance and exits would be cleared of encroachments, and gave instructions to plant saplings and trees in green belts, roadways, and housing societies.
He also gave orders to improve traffic flow through efficient traffic management while prompting strict action against negligence in the domain of sanitation and plantation.
The development officials were told to coordinate their efforts to improve the overall aesthetics of the city.
The meeting was attended by Director General LDA Aamir Ahmad Khan, the Director General of Parks and Horticulture Authority, and other relevant people.
