LAHORE: A grand operation was launched by Lahore police against the influential land grabbing mafia in the Park view Society that is owned by Aleem Khan.
According to the CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, the land was governmental property allotted to the Irrigation Department.
He added that the land had been rescued from the encroachment group in a successful operation led by the Lahore police in the Chohang Area.
CCPO shared that the owners of the Park View Society had filled the irrigation department’s canal with mud and constructed roads and other structures.
He also shared that the District Administration and Irrigation Department, Rescue 1122, and Joint teams of Police participated in the anti-occupation mafia operation.
It is important to note that earlier, during an operation against illegal housing schemes in Ravi City, an Assistant Commissioner and several employees of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) got injured and government vehicles were destroyed.
According to the details, RUDA started to take action against illegal housing schemes within its jurisdiction and when it launched an operation against Park View City in the Mohlanwal area along with the city administration, more than 100 people allegedly attacked the RUDA team, kidnapped, and tortured the officials.
