LDA Amends Bylaws for High-Rise Buildings

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has made amendments to the building and construction bylaws for the construction of buildings above 7 stories.

As per the new laws, 7 and above-story buildings can be built on an area of 4 kanals or more, while buildings having a ground floor and 6 stories are permitted on 2 to 4 kanals of plots.

Additionally, constructing a building with a ground floor and 4 stories is permissible on 10 marlas or more.

It is important to note that the LDA has also restricted the development of wholesale markets, warehouses, and newly designated commercial roads within the city’s premises in order to control the traffic flow.
