LDA Conducts Grand Anti-Encroachment Operation

LAHORE: In a massive operation against encroachments in the provincial capital on Monday, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 31 food outlets and banks, and demolished 60 stores and buildings.

According to the details, special teams carried out an operation in Johar Town from Doctor’s Hospital to Khokhar Chowk on the orders of Director General LDA Amir Ahmed Khan.

Furthermore, the operation resulted in the demolition of commercial centers, grocery outlets, and bakeries for non-compliance with the LDA bylaws.

The DG, while announcing various initiatives of the LDA, added that several roads of Lahore were being converted to model roads.

He added that in the first phase, Johar Town G1 Road, Doctor’s Hospital to Expo Center, and Main Boulevard of Allama Iqbal Town were being built with cutting-edge technology.

Besides, the DG further stated that the action against unlawful marketing and advertising and parking area violations would continue.
