LAHORE: To curb illegal construction and commercialization, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out an operation on Monday to seal and demolish properties.
The operation was directed by Director General LDA Aamir Ahmad Khan and supervised by LDA’s Chief Town Planner (CTP) Asad Zaman.
According to details, LDA teams conducted operations in Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, Samanabad, and Old Muslim Town schemes and sealed several buildings.
Furthermore, illegal basement construction in a private housing society on Canal Road was partially demolished, while illegal constructions and shops were demolished in Samanabad, Shamnagar, and Gulshan Ravi.
Additionally, 10 properties in Old Muslim Town were sealed for commercial activities without seeking LDA’s permission.
In a separate operation against non-payment of commercial fees, LDA teams sealed 39 buildings in the Tajpura scheme.
The operation was conducted by Director Town Planning Zone VII Ayesha Mutahir and monitored by CTP in A, B, D, and E blocks of the Tajpura scheme.
According to LDA’s CTP Asad Zaman, each zone has been directed to carry out regular operations against defaulters, illegal constructions, and encroachments.

In Main Boulevard, Block B, Johar Town the illegal restaurants and constructions are being carried on right under the nose of LDA but, the LDA authorities does not bother to take any action.

محترمہ کنسٹرکشن سے پہلے پلان کو میونسپل اتھارٹی سے پاس کروایا جاتا ہے تب ہر طرح کی سکروٹنی ہو جاتی ہے اب اگر لوگ خود بغیر پاس کروائے کنسٹرکشن کریں یا پاس شدہ پلان میں تبدیلی کریں یا پھر لینڈ کو کمرشل میں کنورٹ کروائے بغیر اوپر بلڈنگ کھڑی کر دیں کہ دیکھی جائے گی تو اب وہ دیکھ رہے ہیں۔

Proper mechanism should be adopted, illegal construction may not be allowed and stopped on the stopped. If such happend such exciseses r not required.
