LDA Plans Mega Projects to Make Commuting Smoother

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is planning to undertake various mega projects to resolve traffic issues in the city.

According to sources, key decisions were made during a meeting chaired by the Commissioner and DG LDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where different development projects were discussed.

In attendance were the Chief Engineer Israr Saeed Khan, Director DG Headquarters, Project Directors, and officers concerned.

During the meeting, the LDA presented a signal-free project from Gulberg to Defense Morr, which includes the construction of a two-lane flyover on Chowk Defense and a two-lane underpass at Cavalry Chowk.

Besides, the DG also reviewed the Bedian Road underpass project and the upgrade of the Nawaz Sharif Interchange on Ring Road.

A detailed briefing on the issues related to the Multi-Level Flyover project started at Shahdara was also given.

The DG said that the ongoing development work around PKLI would help solve traffic problems, adding that LDA was undertaking these mega projects to make commuting easier and smoother for the residents of Lahore.
