LAHORE: In a significant operation directed by the Commissioner/Director General of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the Authority’s team has successfully reclaimed 10 kanals of high-value land, previously earmarked for road construction, from an entrenched land mafia operating in L Block Avenue-I.
This action underscores the LDA’s commitment to freeing up public spaces for the benefit of the city’s residents. Following the successful retrieval, road construction commenced immediately, signaling a significant victory against illicit land seizures in Lahore.
An illegal boundary wall stretching over 18 kanals of land in the same block was also dismantled as part of the grand operation, liberating further space that can now be put to public use.
The once-encroached areas are anticipated to significantly boost the infrastructure and liveability of the district.
The Lahore Development Authority promptly communicated this development via its official Twitter account, indicating its transparency and dedication to keeping the public informed of its actions.
