LDA Takes Action Against 105 Properties in Anti-Encroachment Drive

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed and demolished 105 properties in an ongoing campaign against illegal commercialization, encroachments, and violations of building rules.

The operations were supervised by Chief Town Planner (CTP) Asad Zaman on the direction of DG LDA Aamir Ahmed Khan and carried out by the LDA team under 4 Director Town Planning officials.

Furthermore, the operations resulted in the sealing of 57 properties in Johar Town for non-payment of commercial fees and illegal land use conversion.

Additionally, several constructions on Khayaban Firdousi and Awaisia Road were also demolished due to unlawful land use, non-provision of on-site parking, and encroachments in the area.

Moreover, the LDA team took action in Allama Iqbal Town, where several illegal buildings were demolished for being commercial fee defaulters, and over 25 buildings were sealed for making unauthorized alterations in their structures.

Encroachments on illegal market construction on Ferozepur Road were also demolished, and 22 properties were sealed for non-payment of dues in Faisal Town and Garden Town, including famous brands, showrooms, grocery stores, and other shops.
