LDA to Start New, Complete Existing Projects with ‘Own Budget’

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to initiate 34 new and complete 5 ongoing development projects with its own budget.

According to details, the proposed schemes shall be completed with the revenue generated through local taxes and the auctioned plots.

The decision has been made to obtain freedom from external financial restrictions and delays in development initiatives caused by financing shortages.

The following projects will be finished by LDA in the current fiscal year on a priority basis:

  • PKR 9 billion to be spent on the land acquisition for LDA Phase 1
  • PKR 1.70 billion shall be allocated for the development of 7 new schemes
  • PKR 1.12 billion will be spent on the construction of LDA residential apartments and buildings
  • PKR 1.20 billion will be allocated for the sewage and water lines in LDA Avenue 1 Housing Project
  • PKR 310 million shall be allocated for developments in housing schemes managed by the authority
  • PKR 20.5 million shall be spent for the development of service lanes in Harbans Pura, Mughal Pura, and Canal Road
  • PKR 70 million will be allocated for the completion of 7 of the 29 ongoing development schemes
  • PKR 50 million shall be spent on the Pine Avenue service lane
