LDA’s Vigilant Action Against Illegal Constructions in Lahore

LAHORE: In a recent series of decisive operations, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out the demolition of 14 illegal properties across various locations, including Thokar Niaz Baig, Canal Road, and their surrounding areas.

Demonstrating the commitment to combating unauthorized structures, the LDA teams targeted two illegal constructions on Thokar Niaz Baig, Canal Road, ensuring that urban planning regulations are upheld.

Furthermore, a crackdown on commercialization fee defaulters led to the sealing of more than 12 properties, encompassing private banks, grocery stores, shopping centers, food outlets, and various other retail establishments.

According to sources, these actions were prompted by violations related to inadequate parking spaces.

The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Director Town Planning-II, Sidra Tabassum, ensuring efficient execution of the city’s urban planning policies.

It is noteworthy that, before these enforcement actions, multiple notices had been issued to these properties, providing them with an opportunity to rectify their infractions.
