LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has made a change to its previous order regarding the operating hours of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and eateries in Lahore.
The previous order restricted these establishments from operating beyond 10 PM in an effort to mitigate the city’s smog problem.
However, the court has now modified this order and permitted these establishments to serve customers until 11 PM, and offer home delivery services until 12:30 AM.
The city administration has been informed of the change and instructed to implement the new hours immediately.
The adjustment to the original order was brought about by the escalating problem of smog in the city.
Lahore has garnered the distinction of being the city with the worst air pollution globally, with the Air Quality Index registering hazardous levels.
