LHC Urges Action Against RDA Officers in Walayat Complex Corruption Case

RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench has criticized the investigators of the anti-graft body for not challenging the bail of former PML-N Senator Chaudhry Tanvir Ali Khan in the Walayat Complex corruption reference.

According to details, the LHC urged the apex court to take action against 8 officers of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

Besides, Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz of the LHC Rawalpindi Bench issued notice to Chaudhry Tanvir Ali Khan to appear before the court.

It is relevant to note that the Special Public Prosecutor of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Rawalpindi Region applied to LHC Rawalpindi, requesting the cancellation of the bails of eight RDA officers.

The ACE had registered a case against Chaudhry Tanvir Ali Khan, officers of the land revenue department, and RDA officers.

The details suggest that the accused were granted bail in the Walayat Complex land scam by a lower court a few days ago.
