Litigation Disputes Halt Allocation of Plots in Park Road Housing Scheme

ISLAMABAD: Due to ongoing legal disputes and other Park Road Housing Scheme-related obstacles, the Federal Government Workers Housing Authority (FGEHA) has not yet allocated plots in the first and second categories (Cat-I & Cat-II) to employees of constitutional bodies.

However, the Park Road Housing Scheme has allocated a certain number of plots for registered members of ‘Constitutional Bodies/Quota’, according to a specifically established quota, a representative of the Authority revealed.

He said that the issue had been handled and that they would soon get approval letters for the allocation of plots under the constitutional quota after the necessary legal and codal procedures were finished.

He said that it was the responsibility of the relevant provincial governments and municipalities to implement the building codes.

According to the source, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was in charge of implementing the Building Codes in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
