LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has taken an important step towards promoting cleanliness in the city by launching a periodic community awareness program.
To carry out this initiative effectively, the LWMC has appointed 50 social mobilizers who will lead teams responsible for educating residents about maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas.
According to a spokesperson, the program aims to raise awareness among the public about the proper disposal of waste, particularly during the monsoon season when the risk of waste-related issues increases.
As part of the program, more than 300 shopkeepers have already been engaged and sensitized on the importance of responsible waste management.
