PAKPATTAN: A property dispute turned deadly in Bari Rakh village of Pakpattan district on Saturday when a man killed his mother, 2 brothers, sister-in-law, and 3 children.
According to sources, the suspect, along with his accomplices, stormed into his brother’s house at Sehar time and opened fire, killing 2 of his brothers, while a seven-year-old girl was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.
The police arrived at the scene and took the bodies to DHQ Hospital for medico-legal formalities, launching an investigation as the accused fled the scene after committing the crime.
Besides, the Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, took notice of the incident and ordered the Pakpattan DPO to constitute a special team to arrest the culprits.
He stressed the need to bring the culprits to justice and punish them.
It is worth mentioning that a similar property dispute led to the murder of two brothers and their sister-in-law in the same district in March last year.
