Mayor Wahab Unveils Gulistan-e-Johar Underpass

KARACHI: The Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, inaugurated the 1100 x 19-meter Gulistan-e-Johar Underpass in Karachi on Monday.

During his interaction with the media, Murtaza Wahab emphasized the significance of inaugurating the underpass.

He explained that the inauguration was necessary due to the need for repairing the service lanes on both sides of the Johar Chowrangi Underpass.

As per the details, he also noted that the inauguration of such infrastructure projects showcased the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to addressing people’s concerns.

Wahab further stated that a series of projects would be consecutively inaugurated as numerous initiatives were nearing completion within 60 days.

Reflecting on the past, he mentioned that had previous administrations taken appropriate action, the current situation might have been different.

He underscored the determination of PPP to take action rather than lamenting a lack of authority. The priority, he emphasized, is to repair the city’s roads.

Murtaza Wahab expressed hope for a brighter future for the city and revealed that significant investments, amounting to Rs. 2.1 billion, were allocated for three crucial projects in Karachi.

Highlighting the party’s approach to leadership, he affirmed that PPP makes prompt decisions when necessary.

He also mentioned that the area in question falls under the jurisdiction of Cantonment Board Faisal, but PPP is committed to inclusive and unbiased development efforts.
