MDA Seals Offices of 4 Illegal Housing Schemes

MULTAN: In accordance with the ongoing crackdown directed by Punjab Housing Minister Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, official teams from the Multan Development Authority (MDA) took action on Tuesday to seal the offices of 4 illegal housing schemes.

The MDA Enforcement and Urban Planning Directorate carried out operations for the second consecutive day, resulting in the closure of these offices and the dismantling of their infrastructure.

Among the actions taken, the MDA teams dismantled the road network, sewerage systems, and boundary walls of Golra Town at Taraf Mubarak, which was owned by Ghulam Qadir and Ali Raza.

Additionally, the offices of an unnamed illegal land subdivision, eight shops, an entry gate, a boundary wall, sewerage systems, and road networks owned by Ashfaq Ahmad Gara and Amjad Siyal were also dismantled.

Furthermore, the infrastructure of another unnamed housing society located on Sewra Link Road, owned by Saleem Khaki, was demolished.

Speaking on the occasion, DG MDA Dr. Zahid Ikram stated that the crackdown against illegal housing schemes would continue without any bias or discrimination.

He further mentioned that updated lists of illegal housing societies were being published in newspapers as well as on the MDA website and its social media accounts.
