LAHORE: Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering, presided over a meeting at the Housing Department to examine the ‘Master Plan of Lahore Division 2050’.
According to a Housing Department official, Alex, an International Consultant, briefed the conference via video link on his project research.
The minister demanded the presentation of a road map for completing Lahore’s master plan within a week and said the officials would not be permitted to act arbitrarily by discussing the master plan without something practical.
He continued, “The master plan preparation project should be done publicly at a fast pace.”
The provincial minister was made aware of the quick progress being made on the city’s new master plan. He was also told that the indicator report, inception report, and evaluation report had all been finished.
The conference was attended by Secretary LDA, DG Aamir Ahmed Khan, and LDA officers and engineers, who equally stressed the need to support the trend of high-rise structures.
